We used quarter-sawn red oak, finished with Varathane Traditional Cherry gel stain and 4 coats of lacquer, to achieve an “antique look.”
When I retired from 50 years of carpentry (mostly doing cabinets), Glenda (wife of 15 years) and I decided that I needed a project. Conversely, our kitchen needed a total makeover. We started the remodel in mid-April of 2018 and finished just before Christmas.
